Pop-Up Afternoon Tea

Afternoon tea with a Bengali twist!
Monday 30th May 2016, 2.30 – 5pm

To begin, sip on lemon & lime sherbet & munch on some Jhal Muri - a popular Bangladeshi streetfood. Crispy puffed rice, tossed with onions, cucumber, chillies, toasted peanuts & a hint of mustard.


Shingara – handmade nigella seed flecked pastry cases filled with an aromatic potato mixture. Served with homemade tomato chutney.

Dhaler bora – traditional Bangladeshi fritters prepared with red lentils, onions & spices, deep fried until golden & crispy.

Niramisha sandwiches - a Bangladeshi filling of vegetables sautéed with onions & a delicate blend of spices.


Handesh – rice flour, flour & coconut doughnuts, served hot & fresh from the pan!

Chai-Malai cake – chai spiced sponge filled & topped with rose & cardamom cream.

Almond & brown butter mini bundt cake with rose glaze

Served with masala chai. A warming spice tea infused with fresh cardamom, cinnamon, ginger and cloves.
